The Route du Rhum 2022 is in a month! The accommodationsare saturated on Saint-Malo and you are wondering how to enjoy the atmosphere of the race before its departure ?

Do not panic, we exceptionally open our 3 charming cottages for the nights of November 5 and 6 and welcome you to Cancale, by the sea!

Enjoy the privileged location of our houses: less than 2 kms from the start in Cancale

The start of the Route du Rhum is given off the Pointe du Grouin in Cancale on Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Our 3 houses are located a few meters from the GR34 customs trail. From home on foot, we can reach the Pointe du Grouin from where the start of the race will be given.

By passing through the GR34, you access directly to the departure area, without parking problems or traffic jams on the way back.

Privileged location to enjoy the panorama and the rush of departure: emotions guaranteed!

The story of a legendary race

Famous solo race between St-Malo and Guadeloupe since 1978, the next edition of the Route du Rhum will take place on November 6, 2022.

Around the event: the village, the animations, the atmosphere…

In Saint-Malo, the Village de la course will be open to the public from Tuesday 25 October, during all the school holidays of Toussaint and until Saturday 5 November 2022 in the evening.

An extraordinary atmosphere

At the foot of the ramparts of the corsair city, come and walk every day the quays with the Caribbean and maritime atmosphere, enjoy the party and observe closely the boats that participate in the 11th edition of this mythical race: monohulls, multihulls and giants of the seas …

Many activities around the event are organized on site every day. On Saturday, November 5, all competitors will pass the locks to leave the port, the opportunity to greet them one last time before the departure given on Sunday noon.

Departure on November 6, 2022

The 138 registered sailors will set off from Cancale, at the Pointe du Grouin, on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 1:02 pm to try to win the record for crossing the Atlantic alone. The record of the sailor Francis JOYON in 2018 is to be beaten: 7 days 14 hours and 21 minutes!
